OUR PROGRAMS & CLASSES
Students and enthusiasts of Taekwondo have many reasons for their interest in this and other martial art styles. Some are drawn to the physical fitness and weight-loss aspects of training. Others seek to add discipline and self control to their lives. While still others are concerned about safety and self-defense.

Whether you are interested in our programs for mental or physical well being, Saber Martial Arts Academy offers a number of programs that will fit your developmental needs and your busy schedule as well. Click here to view our Weekly Class Schedule.

Beginner Level
 
This class consists of the levels white, yellow,and purple belt. The classes are one half hour in length with a student attending one or two classes per week. A student can expect to learn basic self-defense, basic blocking, an introduction to sparring (application of techniques only) as well as some of the basic techniques of Tae Kwon Do.

Intermediate Level
 
This class consists of the levels orange, green, blue, and blue 2. Students must be members of either the Master's Club or the Leadership Program to be considered intermediate. A student can expect to continue to learn basic self-defense, beginner and intermediate level forms, basic weapons, a continuation of sparring (application of techniques in a one on one format) as well as some intermediate level techniques of Tae Kwon Do.

Advanced Level
 
This class consists of the levels brown, brown 2, red, and jr. black. Students must be members of either the Master's Club or the Leadership Program to be considered advanced. A student can expect to continue to learn self-defense, advanced forms, additional weaponry, board breaking, a continuation of sparring (application of techniques in a one on one format) as well as some of the advanced techniques of Tae Kwon Do.

Adult Level
 
This class consists of all belts. A student must be a minimum of 12 years old to be able to attend. Any students younger than 12 must receive instructor permission to attend the class. The classes are a half hour in length with a student attending one or two classes per week. A student can expect to learn basic self-defense and the techinques of Tae Kwon Do.

Basic Program
 
The basic (martial arts) program is an excellent way to introduce new students to the concepts of Tae Kwon Do, and what it is like to be a martial artist. The Tae Kwon Do student will be introduced to the basic value concepts such as RESPECT, COURTESY, INTEGRITY, HONESTY, ETC. For children an emphasis is placed on motivation, focus, and self-discipline. Our goal is basically to teach the student how to learn more efficiently.

Master's Club
 
The Master's Club program is a program designed to pick up where the basic program leaves off. The basic program introduces martial concepts to students, where as, the Masters's Club develops application of those concepts. These classes are an additional 15 minutes (45 minutes total) and the student may attend up to three classes per week.

Leadership Program
 
The Leadership Program is designed to pick up where the basic program and Master's Club program leaves off. The basic program introduces martrial concepts to students and the Master's Club program develops the application of these concepts. The Leadership program teaches how to be a role model and mentor these traits to others. These classes are an additional 15 minutes to the Master's Club time (60 minutes in total) and students may attend an unlimited amount of classes.

Weapon Sparring Program
 
Want to get an edge on your sparring? Our weapons sparring program offers students a realistic approach to practice martial arts at full speed, while polishing one's rhythm, timing, stance, breathing, and power. Students can act freely, experiment and try out any technique that comes to mind, while having fun striking, dodging, jumping and blocking safely without holding back. You'll have so much fun, you won't realize your learning. Weapons include the escrima and nunchuka.

This program is offered to Leadership Member students only. All equipment for this class must be purchased through the school. See your senior instructor for more details.
